Romelu Lukaku is a strong doubt for Inter ahead of this weekend’s Serie A clash away to Atalanta according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Belgian national team forward has missed Inter’s past two matches across all competitions due to a muscle injury, which he picked up in the goalless draw versus Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League one week ago.

The 27-year-old, who has been prolific since joining Inter, carried out physiotherapy work yesterday whilst his teammates were in Madrid to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League, a match which they lost 3-2.

Lukaku joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 in a club record €65 million transfer deal from Premier League side Manchester United and has since went on to score a sensational 41 goals in 58 appearances in a Nerazzurri shirt.

This season the former Chelsea player has scored seven goals in as many games for the club.
