Inter have lacked a deputy to Romelu Lukaku in the early stage of this season and in January they could go back in for some players that they have been linked with signing in the past according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter had to do without their talisman for their matches with Parma and Real Madrid in the last week and these matches highlighted just how much Inter can struggle without Lukaku in the side.

As per the report from the Rome based news outlet, Inter could go back in for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in January, a player they have been linked with several times in the past. The Frenchman will have just six months left on his deal come January and could perhaps be acquired on the cheap.

Parma’s Gervinho is another player Inter have been previously linked with that they could go back in for following a failed attempt at the end of the most recent Summer transfer window.
