Inter president Steven Zhang has no doubts or uncertainties about Inter manager Antonio Conte despite the way that the team have started the 2020/21 season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta feels the same as Zhang and the report adds that both are sure that this Inter is with Conte at the helm and that all club management are convinced that Inter’s current poor run of form is going to come to an end soon.
Yesterday all of the club management were at the club’s training ground in order to stay close to the group at this time. There was no crisis committee meeting nor was there any form of confrontation.
Inter have played nine competitive fixtures this season but have only managed to win three of the nine matches.
They have also won just one of their last seven matches across all competitions, which has led to them sliding down the tables in both Serie A and the Champions League.
In Serie A Inter currently sit in sixth place, five points adrift of league leaders AC Milan. In the Champions League, the Nerazzurri side are sitting bottom of group B at the half way point of the group stage. They have two points to their name but are only three points off of top spot.
