Romelu Lukaku trained alone today at Inter’s training ground as he attempts to make a recovery for this weekend’s match versus Atalanta according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

The Belgian national team player has missed Inter’s past two matches due to a muscle injury in one of his thighs and he trained today in an attempt to be available for Sunday’s match in Bergamo whilst the rest of his Inter teammates had the day off from training.

Lukaku has been hugely influential for Inter this season with him scoring seven goals in seven appearances across all competitions and the team were notably worse off against both Parma and more recently Real Madrid without him in the side.

The 27-year-old joined the club in the Summer of 2019 in a club record transfer deal and has scored a sensational 41 goals in 58 outings for the club.
