Inter’s medical staff are assessing Romelu Lukaku’s condition day by day according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Belgian national team player has missed Inter’s past two matches due to a muscle injury and given his great physical structure, Inter’s medical staff are forced to act cautions with him as it is not appropriate to force a player with Lukaku’s physicality.

It remains to be seen whether Lukaku, who has scored seven goals in seven games this term, will be available to play for Inter in this weekend’s Serie A match away to Atalanta.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that by using Lukaku, it would mean that he would have to be allowed to go on international duty but Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is working with national team federations regarding Inter’s players respective usages during the break.
