Inter wish to sign midfielder Nicolo Barella to a new longer term contract according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
The highly rated Italian national team player’s performances have seen clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona show an interest in him.
Inter however have no plans to let him go but rather have plans to extend his current deal with the club, which is due to expire at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The report from FCInterNews.it goes on to explain that Inter are already working to sign him to an extension until 2025 and will increase his current €2.5 million a year salary to around the €4 million mark as part of a new deal.
This season the 23-year-old, who joined Inter from Cagliari in the Summer of 2019, has made nine appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has provided a total of four assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.
