Aleksandar Kolarov could come back in the starting line-up for Inter’s match this weekend away to Atalanta in Serie A according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Serbian national team player was an unused substitute in Tuesday night’s Champions League group stage match away to Real Madrid but could find himself back in the team at left centre back in place of Alessandro Bastoni.

The next training sessions will be decisive in determining whether Inter manager Antonio Conte opts to stick with Bastoni or swap him out of the line-up for Summer transfer window recruit Kolarov.

Kolarov has played the majority of his career as a left back or left wing back but has been utilised exclusively as a central defender since his arrival at Inter from fellow Serie A club Roma in the past few months.

The report adds that what will happen with the attack is dependent on the recovery of Romelu Lukaku, who has missed the past two matches with a muscle problem.
