Lautaro Martinez’s agents are expected to arrive in Italy soon to deal with a new contract for their client according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Lautaro is currently under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season but there has been talk of a new deal for him at the Nerazzurri for a considerable amount of time.

As per various reports in the media, Inter are prepared to give the highly rated 23-year-old a salary increase to somewhere in the region of €5 million whilst reports have stated that Lautaro’s representatives would like him to receive an annual salary closer to €7 million.

The report from Corriere dello Sport goes on to explain that his agents will arrive in Italy following the upcoming national team break and the report warns, that negotiations are not expected to be completed in the short term.

The Argentine national team player joined Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Superliga Argentina side Racing Club back in the Summer of 2018.
