Inter have taken to social media platform Twitter to wish former midfielder Luis Figo a happy birthday as the former Balon d’Or winner celebrates his 48th birthday.

The legendary Portuguese player joined Inter in the Summer of 2005 from Real Madrid and spent what proved to be the final four years of his playing career with Inter before retiring at the end of the 2008/09 season.

In his spell with the club, Figo made 141 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored 11 goals and provided a total of 29 assists for his teammates.

Inter posted: “Our former Portuguese champion turns 48 today! Many happy returns Luis Figo.”
