There are three positions in the Inter starting line-up up for grabs for this weekend’s Serie A match away to Atalanta and there are two players contesting for each position according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The first position being contested is left centre back with Alessandro Bastoni and Aleksandar Kolarov in competition with one another for the start at that position. As things stand, Bastoni is ahead of the veteran Serbian international.

The second position is one of the two central midfield roles. One of these roles will be fulfilled by Arturo Vidal whilst it is between Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Gagliardini to start alongside him and Brozovic is currently ahead.

The third and final position is in the attack. Alexis Sanchez and Ivan Perisic are competing against one another and right now Sanchez is the favourite to start alongside Lautaro Martinez.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Achraf Hakimi, Arturo Vidal, Marcelo Brozovic, Ashley Young; Nicolo Barella; Alexis Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez.
