Inter hope to get revenge on arch rivals Juventus by beating them to the signing of Genoa’s Nicolo Rovella according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Juventus beat Inter to Dejan Kulusevski, a player both clubs had courted for a long time, and now both clubs are competing to sign Rovella and Inter want to avoid a repeat of the Kulusevski situation and snap up Rovella at the expense of the Bianconeri.

Rovella’s contract with Genoa is due to expire at the end of the season and Juventus are said to be willing to sign Rovella in January and then leave him on loan at Genoa.

Inter have meanwhile been courting Rovella for several months and are continuing to study how they can get their revenge on Juventus for snatching Kulusevski out of their hands.

This season Rovella has made four appearances across all competitions to date but has so far been unable to make any goal contributions.
