Romelu Lukaku will do everything in his power to be available for Inter’s match away to Atalanta this weekend according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Belgian national team striker has missed Inter’s past two matches due to a muscle injury in one of his thighs and his situation will become clearer after today and tomorrow’s training sessions.
It will not be easy for him but there is some hope that he could recover, at least to make it onto the Inter bench for the match.
Given this and the fact Alexis Sanchez is not in top condition, Ivan Perisic will continue to play upfront alongside Lautaro Martinez.
The report from the Rome based news outlet also states that Milan Skriniar and Roberto Gagliardini will also be back into the Inter starting line-up.
Probable Inter starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Achraf Hakimi, Arturo Vidal, Roberto Gagliardini, Matteo Darmian; Nicolo Barella; Lautaro Martinez, Ivan Perisic.
