Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is absolutely crazy about Inter’s Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Spanish daily newspaper AS.

Lautaro impressed the French coach earlier on this week as he grabbed a goal and an assist against his side and is understood to have told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez of his admiration for the 23-year-old Argentine national team forward.

Zidane believes that Lautaro would be a player more functional for his play style than Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, who they have been strongly linked with lately as well.

Lautaro has a €111 million release clause in his current contract with Inter but the report goes on to explain that Inter could let him go for €80 million.

This season the former Racing Club player, who is currently under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made nine appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided two assists for his teammates.
