Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is working hard in an attempt to be fit enough to face Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta tomorrow, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 27-year-old Belgian forward is working hard to recover from a muscle injury, that has forced him to miss the last two games across all competitions.

Yesterday Lukaku trained individually with the ball, but worked with good intensity and confided in his teammates that he was feeling good.

Today is the decisive day to see whether the former Manchester United striker will be fit enough to face the Bergamo based side tomorrow, with there being a feeling of confidence in the Inter camp that Lukaku will be able to feature.

Lukaku is incredibly keen to appear as he knows that it’s currently a difficult moment for the Nerazzurri and he wants to help his teammates as much as he can.

It seems likely that the 27-year-old Belgian forward will at least sit on the bench in tomorrow’s game, with Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez likely to start up front.
