Inter goalkeeper Daniele Padelli has tested positive for Covid-19, according to an official announcement from the Nerazzurri earlier today.

The report details how the 35-year-old Italian shot stopper, who is contracted to the Milanese club until the end of the season, is feeling well and is asymptomatic. The player will now follow the required protocols and will enter quarantine.

Padelli has not made a single appearance so far this season, playing backup to club captain Samir Handanovic. The player is now the third-choice keeper at the club, with Romanian shot stopper Ionut Radu being the second choice.

Last season, Padelli made six appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri, for a total of 540 minutes. In that time, he conceded six goals and kept two clean sheets, filling in for an injured Handanovic. The Slovenian veteran had suffered a hand injury, giving the 35-year-old Italian an unexpected busy schedule in February.
