Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov is currently suffering from a muscle injury and the Nerazzurri are hoping that he will not be heavily used by Serbia in the upcoming international break, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 34-year-old Serbian veteran, who is contracted to the Milanese club until the end of the season, has been suffering from a muscle issue since Monday of this week, forcing him to miss today’s clash against Atalanta.

The player has been called up by the Serbian national team, who will play a vital playoff against Scotland next week to qualify for next summer’s European Championships.

Inter are hoping that Kolarov will not be too heavily used by Serbia, as they do not want to risk a longer injury to the former Roma and Manchester City man, who provided an assist against Parma last weekend.
