Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi is expected to return to the squad after the international break, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 25-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has been suffering from muscle problems, with his left thigh proving an issue currently.
The player last featured against Lazio at the start of October, and has missed the last six games across all competitions.
Coach Antonio Conte could not hide his disappointment in yesterday’s pre-match press conference, highlighting that “the player is almost always unavailable.”
Sensi’s recovery program is due to be completed just before the international break, and he will continue his recovery, both physical and psychological, ahead of the Milanese club’s first game after the break.
The former Sassuolo midfielder missed over 29 games last season due to various injuries, disappointing considering his bright start to last season.
