A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has compared Inter’s current situation to that of Antonio Conte’s title winning Chelsea side earlier in his career.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have started the season well, despite the significant difficulties that they have faced so far, between Covid-19, injuries, the busy schedule and international competition.

The Milanese club are currently sixth in the league table after six games, sitting on 11 points, with only three wins out of six.

This is not too concerning for coach Antonio Conte, the report continues, as he has proven that he can navigate out of choppy waters, as seen with his Chelsea side.

In the 2016/17 season, Chelsea had 10 points in the Premier League after six games, one less than the current Nerazzurri squad.

From the seventh game, Conte managed to guide the Blues to a series of 13 consecutive wins, helping the club reach the top of the table, where they eventually won the title.
