Inter management are considering a January transfer window move for Real Madrid defender Marcelo according to a report from Spanish news outlet TodoFichajes.com.

As per this report, Inter’s management are thinking of adding a top left back to their ranks during the upcoming transfer window and Inter manager Antonio Conte has already given club management the green light to pursue a move for Marcelo.

Inter are confident about being able to reach an agreement with Real Madrid over Marcelo given Los Blancos’ need to offload Marcelo’s salary to sign another left back who can compete with Ferland Mendy.

The possible arrival of David Alaba, who can be signed on a pre-contract basis, has cast a shadow over Marcelo’s future in the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid are well aware that Marcelo is still a good player and will not give him away for nothing. With no plans to extend his contract past the end of next season, Real Madrid would like €10-12 million for Marcelo.

The report goes on to add that Juventus are also interested in signing Marcelo and will do everything to beat Inter to his signature.
