The January transfer window is fast approaching and Inter must understand what to do with Christian Eriksen according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Eriksen has been an unused substitute in each of Inter’s last two matches and has not shone in his appearances this season either.

A final decision needs to be made regarding the Danish national team player to avoid the misunderstanding dragging on until the end of the season.

If Eriksen’s lack of usage in past games is a definitive rejection then a departure in January appears to be the only solution.

During the Summer transfer window intermediaries offered Eriksen around to English sides but no English clubs showed a particular interest in him.

Borussia Dortmund, Hertha Berlin and Paris Saint-Germain all made last minute attempts to take Eriksen on loan but Inter had zero interest in letting him leave the club on loan.

As things stand, Inter do not want to send the former Tottenham Hotspur player out on loan but that could well change in the coming weeks.

A six month loan until the end of the season could be useful to allow Eriksen to relaunch his career and encourage potential buyers for the Summer.

The report goes on to add that the Eriksen situation is a source of nervousness for Inter manager Antonio Conte, as he has already shown on a few occasions. Eriksen on the other hand has already made his thoughts on his usage clear.
