Danilo D’Ambrosio is set to extend his contract with Inter according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The experienced Italian national team defender, who is currently away on national team duty, is currently under contract with the club until the end of this season but will renew his contract with the Nerazzurri for a further season in the coming days.

Inter and D’Ambrosio already have an agreement in place over a new deal and all that is needed is for the parties to sign off on the agreement before it can be officially announced.

The 32-year-old joined Inter back in the January transfer window of the 2013/14 season from Torino and he has since went on to make 217 appearances across all competitions to date for the club, in which he has scored 19 goals and provided 17 assists.

This season D’Ambrosio has made eight appearances, in which he has scored two goals.
