Inter central defender Alessandro Bastoni is to be handed his Italian national team debut in Italy’s friendly match with Estonia tomorrow according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

As per this report, Italian national team assistant manager Alberico Evani, who will stand in in place of national team boss Roberto Mancini, who has COVID-19, will name an experimental line-up to take on the European minnows which is to be played at Fiorentina’s Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Bastoni will be among the starting line-up for the match for what will be his first appearance for the senior national team and he will not be the only Inter representative in the starting XI either.

The report goes on to add that Danilo D’Ambrosio will also be in the team as will Inter central midfielder Roberto Gagliardini.

Italy versus Estonia is scheduled to kick off at 20:45 CET and is the first of the three games Italy will play over the international break. The Azzurri will also play Poland and Bosnia & Herzegovina in the UEFA Nations League.
