Inter have an interest in signing Barcelona full back Junior Firpo ahead of the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from the online edition of Spanish daily newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona need to raise some funds and they could raise the funds that they require via the sale of Firpo, who has not provided the competition for Jordi Alba that he was expected to.

Inter have already shown an interest in signing Firpo in the past and whilst they already have Ashley Young and Aleksandar Kolarov capable of playing in the same position as Firpo, both players are not getting any younger.

The report does not provide any details as to what sort of fee Barcelona could demand for the former Real Betis player, who is under contract with them until the end of the 2023/24 season.

This season Firpo has been limited to just two appearances across all competitions, both of which have come off of the bench.
