Sergiy Serebrennikov, the agent of Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi, has revealed that he has had zero contact with Inter amid ongoing rumours that Inter have an interest in signing his client.

“I have read a lot of things in the press in recent days. I don’t know if Inter has contacted Atalanta, but at the moment I haven’t talked to the Nerazzurri management,” he explained in an interview with Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it.

Serebrennikov was then asked how much Malinovskyi is likely to cost any interested clubs: “It’s hard for me to say. This is a question that Atalanta can answer, they are the ones who bought him and know what the right price to sell him for is.”

He was then asked whether a move to Inter would enable his client to make another leap forward in his career following the leap forward he took by leaving Genk for Atalanta.

“Ruslan is happy to play for Atalanta. He arrived last year and had a good season with the whole team. He is part of the project. He has provided a lot of high level performances and at the moment he doesn’t think about the future or other teams.

“If offers arrive we will discuss them together. I don’t think this is the right time to think about other clubs. He is focused on the pitch and on his commitments with Atalanta. When there is something concrete, we will sit down and talk about it.

“Inter are a top club with a great tradition and Antonio Conte is an excellent coach. I can only say positive things about them, but at the moment there is nothing concrete and it is not correct for me to talk about them because Malinovskyi is an Atalanta player, who are a club with very good organisation and with great professionalism ”.

The 27-year-old Ukrainian national team player joined his current employers in the Summer of 2019 and is under contract with them until the end of the 2023/24 season.

This season Malinovskyi, who came through the academy ranks of Shakhtar Donetsk, has made nine appearances across all competitions to date this term. In just under 400 minutes on the field, Malinovskyi has provided a total of two assists for his teammates.
