Radja Nainggolan has a real opportunity to stake his claim for a place in the Inter starting line-up over the course of the international break according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
The Belgian is currently the only midfielder available to Inter manager Antonio Conte with the others either away on national team duty or out injured. Nainggolan therefore has the duration of the international break to give his all and impress Conte.
Nainggolan was strongly linked with a return to Cagliari in the Summer transfer window but no deal came to fruition and he will also not move to them in January either. The player now realises that more than ever, there is only Inter for him right now.
The 32-year-old, who joined Inter in a players plus cash deal from Roma, has been limited to just four appearances across all competitions to date this term, all of which have come off of the bench. In 41 minutes on the field he has failed to make any goal contributions.
