Bayern Munich have decided that they will not look to sell David Alaba in the January transfer window according to a report from the online edition of German news outlet Sport BILD.

Alaba’s contract with the reigning Bundesliga winners and Champions League holders is due to expire at the end of the season and Bayern Munich recently opted to withdraw the contract renewal offer they put on the table for him.

Alaba has drawn links to a whole array of top clubs in recent weeks in months including Inter, Juventus, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona and all of these clubs could try to sign him on a pre-contract basis in January.

Although his contract is expiring and they risk losing him for nothing, Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick wishes to keep a hold of the Austrian for as long as possible and the club are not dependent on receiving a few million for him in January.
