Inter could move to sign a new left wing-back in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

At the moment, Antonio Conte has Ashley Young and the adapted Ivan Perisic at his disposal at left wing-back without forgetting that Matteo Darmian and Danilo D’Ambrosio can also play there if needed whilst Kolarov now seems destined to end his career as central back.

On paper, Inter appear to have many options in this position but have no natural left wing-back given that Young is natrually a winger whilst Perisic is also a winger or striker.

Emerson Palmieri, Marcos Alonso and Junior Firpo are all potential options that Inter could explore in January.

All three of them find themselves in the same situation in that they do not play much and Inter hope they could acquire one of the three on a free transfer or on a fee paying loan. Inter will only do deals for any of the above under favourable conditions.
