Inter have come to an agreement with the Belgian national team regarding Romelu Lukaku according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lukaku made a return to action from injury this weekend after missing the two previous games with a muscle injury and it was evident that he was not at his best when he came on against Atalanta off of the substitutes bench.

Despite his physical condition, he was still called up for Belgian national team duty by Roberto Martinez and the report explains that Belgium have agreed with Inter that they will keep a close eye on the former Manchester United striker’s condition.

In all likelihood, Lukaku will be spared from playing the international friendly match versus Switzerland later on today. He could also be partially spared from playing in the matches versus both England and Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.
