Former Inter assistant manager Jose Morais has reflected on what he describes as the special time that he spent as the Nerazzurri’s number two.

The Portuguese manager was assistant to legendary Inter manager Jose Mourinho during the club’s historic treble winning season back in 2009/10 and he followed Mourinho to Real Madrid and Chelsea, where he continued to fulfil the role as The Special One’s assistant.

“It was a special experience, there I was part of a family. There was very positive energy. The joy I felt was phenomenal,” the 55-year-old explained in an interview with Spanish news agency EFE, as quoted by FCInterNews.it.

Since being Inter’s assistant in 2009/10, he has held the managers job at Antalyaspor, AEK Athens, Barnsley and Karpaty Lviv in addition to the roles mentioned above.

He is currently in charge of South Korean powerhouses Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. He has led Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors to league and cup glory this term and is still in with a shout of playing a part in another treble in his career with his competing in the Asian Champions League.
