Ruslan Malinovskyi’s agent Sergiy Serebrennikov has refused to rule out the possibility of his client leaving Atalanta in the upcoming January transfer window amid reports in the media linking his client with a potential switch to Inter.

The Atalanta and Ukrainian national team player, who came through the ranks at Ukrainian powerhouses Shakhtar Donetsk, is in his second year in Bergamo and has impressed with his performances in Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

“His adventure in Bergamo is going very well. This year and last season he provided excellent performances and he can certainly grow further,” Serebrennikov explained in an interview with Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.it.

Serebrennikov proceeded to share his thoughts on Inter as a club given the links to the Nerazzurri: “Inter are certainly a great club, but I only learned of the interest from the newspapers.

Now he has to think only about what he does on the pitch and his experience with Atalanta.”

In conclusion he was asked whether his client could leave the Gewiss Stadium for pastures new in January if an offer comes in for him.

“Football is business, so nothing can be ruled out, but I would like to say that he is already part of a very valid project as well as an organised and important club.”

This season Malinovskyi, who is under contract with Atalanta through to the end of the 2023/24 season, has made nine appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has provided two assists.
