There is optimism that Lautaro Martinez will be in good enough condition to play in the World Cup qualifier against Paraguay in the coming days according to a report from the online edition of Argentine news outlet Olé.

Lautaro trained separately from his Argentine national team teammates in yesterday’s training due to a slight injury that he picked up in the warm-up of Inter’s 1-1 draw away to Atalanta at the weekend.

The highly rated 23-year-old does not want to miss the match against Paraguay which will be played at Boca Juniors’ La Bombonera and it now remains to be seen whether or not he will be in a good enough condition to play in the match for the Albiceleste.

Lautaro, who joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 from Racing Club, has made 19 appearances across all competitions for the Argentine national team, in which he has managed to score an impressive total of 10 goals.
