Inter’s Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen is not happy with the amount of playing time with the Nerazzurri he has received the player has revealed in in interview with Danish broadcaster TV2 Sport.

The former Tottenham midfielder told the Danish broadcaster that his move to the Nerazzurri has gone anything but according to plan and that he is far from happy with how much he has featured so far this season.

“No, this is not what I dreamed of. I think all football players want to play as much as possible. It is never fun to sit on the bench, but the coach decides who plays.”

Eriksen also implied that he is physically fully fit adding that the Nerazzurri fans want him to play more than he is but that Inter coach Antonio Conte is the reason he is not playing.

“It is a special situation, people want to see me play and I also want to play. However, the coach has different ideas and I have to respect that as a player.

“Obviously, mentally it is hard because I am not accustomed to sit on the bench, but now I have had to get used to it. Right now things aren’t going well for Inter, but before , when I wasn’t playing a lot, the team won a lot.”

The former Ajax man refused to rule out a move away from the Nerazzurri this coming January when the transfer window opens stating that his focus right now is on the pitch but that this is a discussion he needs to have with the club.

“Right now I am focused on the pitch, then we will see when the window opens what will or will not happen. As far as I know, I will stay at Inter after winter. Then I will have to decide with the club.”
