Bayern Munich’s David Alaba is one of the best players who could potentially become a free agent in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Austrian national team defender is out of contract with the German club at the end of this season and is yet to find an agreement over a new deal with the club. He currently earns €10 million a year and wants €15 million a year.

Other players who could potentially become free agents include Alaba’s former Bayern Munich teammate Juan Bernat, now of Paris Saint-Germain, Paris Saint-Germain’s Angel Di Maria and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

Inter showed an interest in Messi during the Summer but it is almost impossible at this stage for the Nerazzurri to afford the multi-time world player of the year and it is likely that he will end up prolonging his contract with Barcelona especially given Josep Maria Bartomeu has now left his position as Barcelona president.
