Lautaro Martinez is almost certain to start for the Argentine national team in their upcoming World Cup qualifier versus Paraguay according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Lautaro picked up a slight injury during the warm-up before Inter’s 1-1 draw away to Atalanta at the weekend and the fact he is on international duty has only further irritated Inter who are irritated by the number of players called up for national team duty, many of whom are not in the greatest of physical conditions, especially Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to add that Inter are monitoring what is going on with Lautaro in Argentina continuously.

Lautaro, who joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 from Racing Club, has made 10 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored five goals and tallied two assists.
