Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s agent Beto Yaque has chosen to remain tight lipped when quizzed on the future of his client.

During the Summer transfer window, Lautaro found himself linked to several clubs, including Barcelona, and in recent weeks there has been no shortage of media speculation regarding a contract renewal for him at Inter.

“Every day they ask me what will happen in the future of Lautaro Martínez. Sometimes I try not to give an opinion because then what I say is reported distorted on the internet,” he explained in an interview with Argentine radio station Radio Sol, earlier on today.

Yaque was then asked about the alleged interest from both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

“Beyond the fact that we have no contact with Real Madrid and Barcelona, it is normal that the player has been noticed by the best teams. He has just turned 23, he has adapted to European football, he is a player in the national team with a three-year contract with Inter.”

Yaque proceeded to speak on the character that his long term client possesses: “As a boy he had a very strong personality, he has always tried to achieve all the goals he set for himself. He is a very prepared boy and knows what he wants. He likes what he does.”

Lautaro joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 from Racing Club and is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers on the planet at the moment.

Since joining Inter, Lautaro has made 94 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 35 goals and provided 10 assists. This season he has made 10 appearances, in which he has scored five goals and tallied two assists for his teammates.
