Noted Italian football journalist Riccardo Trevisani has revealed that he is amazed that Inter manager Antonio Conte has not been able to work his magic with Inter like he has in previous managerial posts he has held.

Conte is into his second year in charge of the Nerazzurri club and the season has not started how it was expected to for the Milano based club with them having recorded just three wins in their opening 10 matches across all competitions to date.

Conte’s side have also won just one of their last eight matches across all competitions and one of the main criticisms of the team by many in the media is that the team lack fury, especially in comparison to last year’s team.

“The problem is that Inter play great matches well, but lose them. Last year they lost to Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona and then in the final against Sevilla and with Real Madrid a little while ago,” Trevisani explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, on Tuesday.

“Wine drinking aside, I think Inter have less fury than last year. They have an amazing coach in Conte, who took Juve from seventh to the top, the same with the national team and Chelsea.

“This is not happening with Inter and it amazes me.”

Former Italian national team boss Conte has managed Inter in 63 matches across all competitions to date. He has led Inter to 35 victories, 17 draws and 11 losses.
