Inter’s Moroccan international wing-back Achraf Hakimi came off in the second half against the Central African Republic with a suspected injury, according to Moroccan media outlet El Botola, Italian media outlet FcInterNews report.
According to the report, the former Real Madrid player Hakimi broke the deadlock in the 10th minute in the African Cup of Nations qualifying match assisted by Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech who went on to score a brace in a match Morocco eventually won 4-1.
However, in the 58th minute Hakimi was brought off after a collision with Central African Republic goalkeeper Geoffrey Lembet sustained in the first half, proved to be more serious than first thought and was replaced by Zakaria Aboukhlal.
According to the report, Hakimi will undergo further tests tomorrow to determine the seriousness of the injury which will decide if he is available or not for the return leg against the Central African Republic in 4 days time.
