Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has shared his belief that anything can happen this season as far as who will win the Serie A title is concerned.

The early stages of the 2020/21 Serie A season have not went how many predicted they would, with some of the pre-season favourites lagging behind other sides and there is a new found balance in the league.

Something that the league has certainly lagged for the best part of a decade with Juventus winning nine Serie A titles in a row.

“AC Milan have taken giant steps lately. The Rossoneri are still missing something to be at the level of Juventus and Inter”

“But we must not forget that this is a strange season for all the leagues in Europe, where I see quite surprising results,” Ancelotti, who has managed the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and more recently Napoli in Italy, explained in an interview with Italian football television programme Tiki Taka.

“There are teams in the lead that no one would have ever said at the start of the season. Anything could happen.”

As things currently stand, AC Milan are leading the way in the Serie A standings after seven games played. The Rossoneri club have 17 points to their name.

They are four clear of last year’s Champions Juventus, who are fifth, and five clear of seventh placed city rivals Inter.
