Inter have concerns about their players part of national teams who have recently had teammates test positive for COVID-19 according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Giorno.
Marcelo Brozovic, Ivan Perisic, Aleksandar Kolarov, Romelu Lukaku and Christian Eriksen are all on national team duty with Croatia, Serbia, Belgium and Denmark and all of these listed nations have had one or more players test positive for COVID-19 recently.
The report goes on to explain that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta was greatly concerned by players all joining up together for national team duty due to the prospect of COVID-19 being brought back to Inter, who have already suffered greatly due to positive COVID-19 tests.
Inter have already had seven players test positive for COVID-19 which has caused a great deal of disruption at the club and has without doubt played a huge part in Inter’s worse than expected start to the 2020/21 season.
