There is no shortage of interest in Inter attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen ahead of the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.
Several top Premier League clubs, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all have an interest in signing the under performing 28-year-old Danish national team representative.
The COVID-19 pandemic has however had a heavy impact on the finances of all clubs across the globe and the fact that Inter are not wanting to sell him off does not facilitate his departure from the club.
Whilst many reports have dismissed the possibility of Eriksen leaving the club on loan, this report states that he could in fact be allowed to leave in a high fee paying loan deal, a move which would allow Eriksen to try and relaunch his career and would not devalue him.
The report goes on to conclude by questioning which big European club would agree to such a deal without at least getting an option to buy the former Ajax player outright.
It concludes that only an emergency situation, such as an injury at one of the potential suitors, could unlock the situation.
