Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is training individually in an attempt to be fit for Belgium’s Nations League matches against England and Denmark, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Belgian forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, is still suffering from an injury to his left thigh, and so is not training with the Red Devils squad.

The player was rested for the game against Switzerland but is hoping to be available for the upcoming clashes against England and Denmark, which will take place next week.

Lukaku has made eight appearances across all competitions so far this season for Antonio Conte’s Inter, for a total of 621 minutes. In that time, he has scored seven goals, being a consistent threat and strong leader on the pitch.

Last season, his first in Serie A, the 27-year-old Belgian scored 34 goals and provided six assists in 51 games.
