Juventus and Inter are both looking to sign Chelsea full back Emerson Palmieri, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how both the Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri are interested in the 26-year-old Italian Brazilian full back, who is contracted to the Blues until 2022.

The player is on the sidelines of Frank Lampard’s project in London, not even being in the match day squad for the first seven league games.

Emerson discussed the situation in a press conference yesterday, saying: “I am calm, I have received interest, not only from Italy. Nothing concrete, but it is clear that I would like to return to Serie A.

“I do not know if it will happen in January or in five years, I cannot say. In football everything changes too quickly.”

Both Juventus and Inter appreciate the former Roma full back’s qualities, with the Nerazzurri still searching for a new left wing back.

Currently, the role is being occupied by veteran Ashley Young, former Manchester United full back Matteo Darmian and Serbian veteran Aleksandar Kolarov, but coach Antonio Conte still wants Emerson.

Inter were keen to sign Emerson in the previous transfer window, but a deal never materialised and Chelsea were not keen to offer any discounts.
