Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini has taken another Covid-19 test, as the one he took yesterday returned inconclusive, according to an official announcement by the FIGC.

The report details how the 26-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, already caught the virus at the start of last month, forcing him to miss four games across the league and Champions League.

Since he has already tested positive for the virus, yesterday’s inconclusive test means that a second swab is needed, the report continues, which was carried out this morning. The results are expected this evening.

The player, who is completely asymptomatic, left the Italy squad and will return to Milan, where he will make himself available to Inter.

The 26-year-old Italian midfielder has made five appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 239 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
