Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti is set to remain on the bench for the second game in a row for the Italy Under-21 squad, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the 21-year-old Italian forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, is not set to feature against Luxembourg U-21 tonight, with coach Paolo Nicolato preferring Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca and Fiorentina’s Riccardo Sottil.

Inter owned forward Sebastiano Esposito has already returned to SPAL, the report continues, and will clearly not feature against Luxembourg U-21.

Pinamonti has made eight appearances for the Azzurrini since his debut for the squad last year. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided two assists.

He is also a backup striker for coach Antonio Conte this season, where he has made three appearances across all competitions, for a total of 45 minutes. He scored seven goals and provided three assists for Genoa last season whilst on loan.
