Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella may start for Italy against Poland in their Nations League clash tonight, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the Azzurri can return to the top of Group 1 of the Nations League should they beat a Poland side featuring Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski tonight.

Nerazzurri defender Danilo D’Ambrosio is disqualified and so cannot feature, and Roberto Gagliardini was sent home after an inconclusive Covid-19 test, leaving only two Inter players in the Azzurri squad.

Both Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella could start in the clash, an important game for Italy.

The 21-year-old Bastoni made his senior debut for the Azzurri last week in the friendly win over Estonia and will be hoping for his first competitive appearance tonight.

The 23-year-old Barella has made 16 appearances since his debut in 2018, scoring four goals and providing three assists in that time.

Probable Italy line-up (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Florenzi, Alessandro Bastoni, Acerbi, Emerson Palmieri; Locatelli, Jorginho, Nicolo Barella; Bernardeschi, Belotti, Insigne.
