A report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport has analysed Inter’s injury troubles since the start of this season.

The report details how only nine of the 25 players in the squad have remained fully fit so far this season, with many suffering from either injuries or Covid-19, or both.

This problem is exacerbated by the risk of false positive Covid-19 tests, like what happened to Achraf Hakimi ahead of the Nerazzurri’s Champions League opener against Borussia Monchengladbach earlier this season.

The Milanese club are now hoping that former Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi will finally be fully fit again, after spending over six weeks out with a list of muscle issues. He is still on the road to recovery and so can offer no guarantees currently.

Another player that could be important for coach Antonio Conte is Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who has been working hard in training recently in an attempt to earn a starting spot in Conte’s squad.
