A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport has detailed the list of Inter players that have been injured whilst on international duty since 2018.

The report begins by detailing how Marcelo Brozovic tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week whilst with Croatia, and Achraf Hakimi bruised his thigh whilst in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Central African Republic.

During the previous international break, Alexis Sanchez returned from the Chile camp with muscle fatigue, and Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni both contracted Covid-19.

At the start of September, Ivan Perisic and Stefan de Vrij both returned to Appiano Gentile with different injuries. The Croatian suffering with a left knee issue and the Dutchman having problems with his left ankle.

In recent years, the unluckiest player in this regard was former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, who was injured for almost three months after a strong challenge from Juan Cuadrado injured a tendon in his left ankle.

Former Inter full back Sime Vrsaljko was injured with Croatia two international breaks in a row in September and November 2018.
