A report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport has detailed how the majority of Inter’s goals have been scored by Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
The report details how the Nerazzurri have scored 19 goals across all competitions so far this season, with almost two thirds of them being scored by the Belgian-Argentinian duo.
The 27-year-old Lukaku is the top scorer for the Nerazzurri currently with seven goals, which could have been higher if he hadn’t been forced to miss two games due to a muscle injury.
Lautaro, on the other hand, has scored five so far this season, with goals in his last two games.
One clear issue is the lack of goals coming from midfield, with only Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic finding the back of the net.
Ivan Perisic has two goals, but these are from when he started as a forward. Defender Danilo D’Ambrosio also has scored twice, with seven other players scoring the rest.
Coach Antonio Conte is expecting more goals from Nicolo Barella, Christian Eriksen, Arturo Vidal and Radja Nainggolan, given their potential.
