Inter vice president Javier Zanetti is working to bring Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes, according to a report from Argentine media outlet El Intransigente earlier today.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte is a fan of the 26-year-old Argentinian, who is contracted to PSG until 2023. Zanetti is working to bring the former Empoli and Roma player to Milan, promising him a leading role in Inter’s midfield.

Paredes, despite being happy in Paris, would not be against a return to Italy, especially to join a club with grand aspirations like the Nerazzurri, the report continues.

Boca Juniors, his former club, also support the deal. Should he be sold for around €40 million, his current market value, they would earn around €1.3 million through a sell-on clause.

Considering that PSG were interested in Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen in the summer, a potential swap deal could take place in the upcoming January transfer window.
