Manchester City are interested in signing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez to replace the aging Sergio Aguero, according to a report from International broadcaster Eurosport earlier today.

The report details how the Citizens, under the guidance of coach Pep Guardiola, are looking for a long-term replacement for their 32-year-old talismanic striker, whose contract expires at the end of this season.

The 23-year-old Lautaro, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri, has attracted their attention with his performances over the last two seasons, and they believe that he could be the man to fill Aguero’s boots.

Lautaro is waiting to understand how feasible the deal is and how strong City’s interest is, and is still continuing negotiations with Inter regarding a contract renewal.

The 23-year-old Argentine striker has made 10 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 726 minutes. In that time, he has scored five goals and provided two assists.
